Campbellford, Ontario

Wednesday July 26, 2017 -- This was kind of a rest day (After just one day on the waterway.  Who is getting soft?)  Anyway, we went for a walk in the morning to a suspension bridge over Ranney Falls.  We later moved the boat to the Campbellford town wall about one mile away.

The town wall is free until after 5:00 in the evening, then you pay the town just like you would pay marina.  There is Hydro (power) available, but we didn’t connect to it.  Campbellford wants boaters to stop by their town to visit the Post Office, the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario), and local restaurants and stores.  Especially they want boaters to visit their famous bakery (Dooher’s) and their chocolate factory (World's Finest).  So we hit up those two places first.

Later in the afternoon we move the boats through two locks and docked on the wall above Lock 14.  We traveled just 3.8 miles on Wednesday.  It was another good day.  The total lift for the day (all locks) was 48 feet.
